Clay Aiken IS Gay: Kathy Griffin Was Right All Along
Not that we didn't all know this already, but Clay Aiken is gay. At least CNN is saying their best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night.
Oh, and he also told People Magazine.
Sure he has a new baby, but come on - I know lots of gay parents. Tony Curtis made Jamie Lee didn't he?
The biggest surprise to me is this:
He wasn't out already?
Because duuuuuuuude -
He sure looked like he was out.
I'll be damned.

What? This is a surprise to people?

While I don't care about him one iota, I'm glad he came out. I'm just annoyed that he flat-out denied it for so farking long.

How come every time people see a well groomed clean guy that he's automatically gay? I don't think that dude is gay. Now that Kathy Griffin lady is most definitely gay. You need to fine tune your gaydar.
Gaydar: a natural radar built into the mind of human beings that senses the sexuality preference in other beings by sounding a buzz similar to the emergency broadcast system

what Robyn said-I swear that was my exact same reaction! Ricky needs to take strength from Lance Bass and Neil Patrick Harris and now Clay Aiken and just come out already.
I don't care personally if Clay Aiken is gay or not, but good for him for coming out.

If everyone has known something for years, is it news when it's "announced"?
I don't think this is news. Pretty sure Clay made this startling announcement to drum up more publicity to spur his career on.
Personally, I don't care if a particular entertainer is gay or heterosexual. In fact, I'd be perfectly happy if we knew nothing of entertainers' personal lives. It's not relevant to me and it's their business.

I just don't think it's fair that people outed him before he was prepared to talk about it. Frankly, if he never talked about it, I wouldn't mind either. I just don't see how sexuality has anything to do with celebrity. Some people are out and proud and some people are out, but don't address it b/c they don't find it interesting. Whatever the case, I proud of Clay for waiting until HE was ready to make that announcement.
I still find his personality irksome.

My bigger problem was the repeated denial when, well, really? Seriously? it had nothing to do with the way he dressed or groomed himself (I have gay male friends who have no clue about fashion or skin care). It was almost offensive to gay people the way he denied it over and over again, while I agree that sexual orientation isn't neccessarily anyone's businesss but their own, I think that in the case of celebrity they give up a degree of privacy. (Not all of it, but a degree of it.)
Also, I fucking love Kathy Griffin. I'm counting down the minutes until I get to see her live again. (On November 7th, betches.)

I don't care that he's gay, that he denied it, whatever.
I just wish he'd stop flat ironing his hair. He does it better than I can.

"...their best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night."
HHHAAAAAAAAHHHHH! That was the best part of the post. Who cares about Clay? Thanks for the Ferris reference on a crappy day.

wait. Tony Curtis is gay? seriously?
Posted by: AmyC65 | September 24, 2008 at 01:23 PM
I wouldn not buy his albums. I would not pay to see Lindsey Lohan. I could give a crap about their orintation. I would love to see NPH on stage, Ditto Ellen standup show!! I could give a crap about their orintation. Unfortunatly quite a few people still give a crap. True equality won't happen until orintation is not what the fan mags talk about. True equality will be when fan mags start printing about GLBS breakups and other B.S their best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night.

And I STILL think he looks like Lindsey Lohan. Who also kinda sorta came out today. Coincidence?

If you were a guy that wants women to crawl all over you and undress in front of you then you would say you were gay. This man is a genius.
Why am I here and reading this....It was that damn preggie lady that charmed me into this.
Posted by: The Usual Suspect | September 24, 2008 at 06:34 PM
What? He's gay? Noooooo....So he didn't want to come out when everyone called him on it, but he will come out when no one cared anymore?
Posted by: Rachele | September 24, 2008 at 07:18 PM
is it just me or does he look just like lindsay lohan in that last pic? weird.
Posted by: tifRN | September 25, 2008 at 09:26 AM
oh, haha, guess not. hi, kate!

What's the difference between Clay Aiken and OJ Simpson?
OJ's not coming out any time soon!!!
P.S. Has anyone else taken note that whenever any celebrity refuses to comment on their relationships (yet will discuss anything else), they end up coming out or being outed?
P.P.S. Yeah, Ricky Martin's next.
