Lindsay Lohan Outdoes Clay Aiken
Finally, Lindsay Lohan does something that I can get behind: she's acknowledged, publicly, her relationship with Samantha Ronson.
Which means, I hope, that people can stop punning on stupid Katy Perry songs (HATE. HATE.) whenever a photo of the two of them hits the interwebs, because, seriously: a) that song is so beyond stupid and demeaning that it makes me want to punch a wall every time I hear it, and b) it'd really be awesome if we could just let them have this relationship - which, to date, seems much more placid and ordinary and, yes, healthy than most celebrity relationships - and not kick up a major fuss or make stupid jokes - regardless of whether these reference bad songs by Katy Perry - about cute girls dating cute girls and be done with it.
Anyhoo. There's a link to the interview in which she comes out (what? you got a better term for it?) about her relationship with Samantha after the jump.
From the radio show Loveline (Samantha Ronson had called in to discuss DJ AM, and passed the phone to Lindsay, who took questions from Dr. Drew's co-host Stryker), and quoted on Gawker:
Asked, "You and Samantha have been going out for how long now?" Lohan giggled and demurred, but Stryker pressed on. "Like two years?" he asked. "One year? Five months? Two months?" Finally, Lohan allowed, "A very long time."
You can listen to the audio HERE.
Who's Clay dating, anyway? *YAWN*

Well, good. Now people can move on and let the poor child be happy for the first time ever.

isn't it nice that this relationship isn't the least bit exciting to us? I'd say that's really good progress, on the acceptance of diverse sexualities front. I hope that it has truly been the stabilizing force in Lindsey's life as it seems it has been.
One by one, hollywood's wild girls are settling down and attempting to get their shit together.

I really don't care about Hollywood relationships. In fact, it's the last thing I care about when it comes to Hollywood. Personally, I'm with Craig Ferguson in that Lindsay being gay might be more like Anne Heche being gay. If I'm wrong, no problem. My interest level on orientation is about nil.

WORD, Elle. Now if only we could get Perez Hilton to stop referring to Samantha Ronson as SaMANtha and ask TMZ to stop being totally inappropriate as well, that'd be nice.

I sincerely hope that she finds happiness with Samantha. Everyone deserves to be happy.
