Britney Spears' Son Rushed to Hospital After Seizure
Britney Spears youngest son, two-year-old Jayden James, was rushed to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, after suffering seizures.
Spears and her family were relaxing at their Louisiana Serenity estate when Jayden had a seizure and was described as being "vague and unresponsive." When Spears was told that an ambulance would take a half-an-hour to arrive (WTF?) the Spears clan mobilized and sped to the hospital in two black SUVs, one driven by Britney and carrying her parents and son, the other drive by Jamie-Lynn with brother Brian as a passenger.
Jamie-Lyn reportedly drove slowly alongside other cars so as to block the paparazzi from chasing Britney's vehicle and getting shots of Jayden entering the hospital. It worked: by the time photogs arrived at the medical center, Spears and family were already inside. It sickens me that at a time when a child's health is in grave danger, photographers think of nothing else but photographing him. It's a good thing that they were prevented from inhibiting his path to the hospital.
Jayden James was kept overnight for observation with his mom keeping vigil by his side. She had asked for a second bed to be brought into his room. Doctors still unsure as to what actually caused the seizures.
The visit was supposed to be a relaxing mini-vacay for Britney before her "Circus" world tour. K-Swiss poster boy KFed is said to be making plans to fly to Lousiana to visit his son. I feel that she's on the cusp of a comeback in more than one sense; both as a performer and as a mother, more importantly.
I'll update this post if the news warrants it.
*UPDATE: From Brit's website: Jayden to be discharged tomorrow.

About the ambulance: Kentwood, Louisiana is basically in the middle of nowhere. The nearest hospital (the one where Jamie Lynn gave birth, and that they drove Jayden to) is in McComb, Mississippi, which is about 25 miles away. So, that might explain why 911 said the ambulance would take so long.
This is so sad, I really hope that little boy is ok.

:( Poor little guy. I hope it is something mundane (My girls have had fever seizures, and they are scary, but thankfully not harmful).

Re: Ambulance. My grandmother lives about 20 miles from McComb. She had to call 911 last year because she had an allergic reaction to the new medication the doctor has prescribed. By the time the ambulance got there, almost 40 minutes later, they found her lying practically comatose in the middle of her living room floor. She ended up being alright, thank God, but you better believe had something worse happened to her the entire state of Mississippi and it's 911 responders would've heard about it.

So glad they got to the hospital themselves without any paparazzi incidents. I don't normally comment on Britney stuff, but she seems like she's getting her self together.
Medical emergencies in the boonies are scary. I've had to wait more than half an hour for an ambulance to arrive when a girl I was caring for had a seizure. (I'm in Canada)

It's looking like it was a food allergy.

that poor girl. there is probably nothing worse in the world than watching your child lie on a hospital bed.

I live in a rural area, about 48 miles outside of a metroplitan city. We don't depend upon ambulances. Why isn't there Care/Life Flight helicopters for these emergencies?
