Mark Ruffalo's Brother Shot in the Head

 

Mark Ruffalo's younger brother Scott was shot in the head while inside his Beverly Hills condominium early Monday.  He is currently in very serious condition in a Los Angeles hospital.  It is unclear whether this is a criminal act, an accidental shooting, or a suicide attempt.

Mark has starred in movies such as 13 Going on 30, The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and You Can Count on Me.  His brother is a hairdresser and has held a California state cosmetology license since 1991.

Mark's rep refused to issue a comment, stating that the police have an ongoing invetsigation.  What we do know is that the shooting occurred at approximately 1:40 a.m. at the building where Scott Ruffalo lived on North Palm Drive. Police confirmed the shooting, but would not say who was involved.

Mark is no stranger to medical trauma having recently recovered from a benign brain tumor which caused facial paralysis.  He has fully recovered and is in three moves that are expected to be released in 2009.

Our thoughts are with Mark, Scott, and the entire Ruffalo family and we we wish Scott a speedy recovery.

While I am sorry to hear about his brotehr, and I had no idea about his tumor, my first thought when looking at this post and picture was...what's up with the chest hair? or is that a tattoo? or a surgical scar?
