Britney Spears' Father Obtains Restraining Orders Against Britney's Ex-Boyfriend

Britney's father and lawyer Andrew Wallet, who oversee her affairs as co-conservators, obtained restraining orders against her former manager, Sam Lutfi, her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, and a lawyer.  They allege the three men "are now working in concert to disrupt the conservatorship with utter disregard for Ms. Spears's health and well being."

Jamie Spears is alleging that Sam is attempting to contact Britney again, even though the original retraining order against him lapsed in July because they believed he was no longer a risk.  Her cell phone records show numerous text messages from him and also from her former boyfriend, Adnan, who Jamie says is exploiting Britney for his own financial gain.

Raise your hand if you are shocked about that one.

"[Britney] innocently informs [Ghalib] of her destinations and that he then arranges for paparazzi to meet and film her to his financial benefit," Jamie Spears says. "[He] is harmful to Ms. Spears and to her recovery."

"Innocently?"  Really?  Maybe "not so brightly" would have been better.  That girl is just starving for love.    

Her father also alleges that on Dec. 27 and 28, 2008, Lutfi tried to contact Britney through her hairdresser with the message that Lutfi was not responsible for creating the conservatorship.  He allegedly sent a text message to the hairdresser saying, "I've done everything I can to free her from this. Very close to getting her free now."

The restraining order forbids any contact from Sam or Adnan as well as lawyer Jon Eardley, who took it upon himself to challenge the conservatorship last year.

A hearing on the matter is set for Feb. 23.

Just when we thought things were going so well for Britney.  She looks great.  Her new album is at the top of the charts.  By all accounts, she is healed.  I wish the people who do not wish her well would just leave her alone.  I hope these retraining orders accomplish what they need to.

But...I think that she's probably got more healing to do...

I keep reading rumors that all the "progress" is really just that her public image is once again being strictly controlled, and that's it's still total fiction, like it was back in the days of teenybopper wholesome virgin Britney. Sam stood to make money off of the crazy paparazzi-bait Britney, but the people surrounding her now know they'll make more money if they get her "healed" and back out on tour. I hope it's not true, because it's just sad as all hell.
