Robert Pattinson Hit by a Car!
But he's OK! Put down and back away from the torches and pitchforks, ladies.
Robert Pattinson was clipped by a cab while in New York filming his new movie, "Remember Me," co-starring Emilie de Ravin. "Twilight" fans used Twitter to track Pattinson down like wolves and mobbed him in the street, despite his bodyguards best efforts to shield him from the craziness.
As he tried to exit the scene and dash across the street to his trailer, he was clipped in the hip by a cab, promoting a bodyguard to shout at the fans after making sure the star was OK: "You see what you did? You almost killed him!"
Pattinson was stunned but unhurt, thankfully, else the hearts of a frillion tweens, cougars, and women who are not tweens or cougars would implode and the cries of angst would be a plague upon the earth greater than a nuclear fallout. You think I'm exaggerating. Actually, it would be an all-out war with the tweens, cougars, and Regular Women Who Just Like the Books and Movie But Are Not At All Obsessed would search out and dismember any tween or cougar whose obsessive stalking of the star resulted in a tragic accident or his death.
So for future reference, if the object of your affection has a desperate look in his eye and literally runs into traffic trying to escape, maybe you're coming on a bit strong? I'm just saying.

I don't get the whole "pack of screaming teens" thing. Then again, I tend to feel like I'd rather not meet my celeb crushesat all, to spare myself the embarassment of acting like a total idiot. If you admire someone, don't you want them to think you're cool? Running at them while screaming and crying just seems embarassing.

*sigh* This is why we can't have nice things.

Thank You Shireen, that's exactly what I was thinking.
My cartoon bubble had the body guard saying, "You see what you did? This is why we can't have nice things!"

Oh that's just wonderfully ironic! I don't really get the whole Twilight obsession myself, and I certainly wouldn't want anyone to get seriously injured or worse, but....man...did these people learn nothing from the whole Princess Di debacle?

I completely agree with you...
I never see myself as one from the pack (as in the pack of teenage girls gone wild). Don't they understand that he wants to be treated like a normal person. He mentioned once that if you ever saw him he would appreciate it if you would just act like he wasn't there and completely ignore him or do nothing.
My fellow teenage females are acting just like a ball of geeks wild in love with Star Trek.(Not offending any Star Trek lovers; I do like Star Trek.) All of those girls remind me of the Jonas Brothers Fans.
Just check this out to see how crazy some fans can get:

I would want my admirer to think I'm cool(for not acting like a crazy fan.)

In my last sentence I meant to write:
The person that I admire not MY admirer.
SORRY!

"I'm gonna love him, and squeeze him and call him George."

I am of the opinion that everything is better when Looney Tunes references are injected. Hi-larious.
