The Trouble With Twitters or Jeff Goldblum Lives!
Twitter did some good work a few weeks back what with the Iran and the White House and the stuff, but their follow-up needs a little work.
I'm talking about the death rumors that seem to run through Twitter like so many burritos. It's all crap.
Basically, Iran is the "Mr. Brightside" and the rumors are "Human" or possibly dancers. Just because you've done something catchy doesn't mean you can throw anything on a dance track and call it art. Although, in all fairness, Jeff Goldblum cuts a mean rug.
Yes, Jeff Goldblum was reported on Twitter and across teh internetz as DEAD FOR SURE - a story that even made it into legit news programs before being declared a hoax. It all started on a warm summer day with the actual deaths of icons Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, then it continued with rumors about Goldblum, Harrison Ford, Miley Cyrus and Billy Mays. Well, Billy Mays really did pass, but his death? Reported by his son on Twitter.
Luckily, the subjects of said rumors are fighting back. Jeff Goldblum aka "The Boy Who Lived" is leading that movement, too. He appeared on The Colbert Report last night and set Twitter straight. We can only hope it isn't too little too late. Also, follow MamaPop!
We'll miss you, Jeff Goldblum.

"rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated". Life imitates art (if you call the Jurassic Park books art). :)

Pfft. Who does Jeff Goldblum think he's fooling? He died in 1989. In Jurassic Park he was actually CGI. Except for his nose. That was a piece of clay attached to a stick being held by a Teamster.
