Any parent who's ever thrown a kid's birthday party knows the most labor intensive part of the entire process is putting together the dreaded Goodie Bags. Who invented this masochistic, time-consuming, crappy tradition? Invite a bunch of kids to a party, babysit them, feed them, and then send them home with a bag of knick-knacks that probably cost more than the gift they brought? Why not just hand out $20 bills at the door?

Wow – she does have pretty fun bags. Last time I had a party I overheard some kids whispering, ‘What the hell? These fun bags are totally droopy and wrinkled like an old tube sock’. Yeah, it stung a little. Brats.

My roommate watches tv incessantly. This was on the other night and I willed the loss of all sensory perception long enough to get my groceries put away and then into my room where I could begin to allow myself to hear again without fear of ever hearing Denise Richards say "funbags." It didn't happen, which is a shame.
