I had to read this latest Courtney Love news three times to make sure it wasn't a recycled item from, like, 1995. However, it turns out Courtney Love (sober five and a half years, if you ask Courtney!) is still up to her old tricks, i.e., doing IV drugs and trashing expensive hotel rooms with her daughter in tow. The only difference is that her daughter is 16 instead of a toddler.
According to Page Six, Courtney Love utterly destroyed her room at The Inn on Irving Place in New York two weeks ago, where she stayed with her daughter, Frances Bean. The staff reported the room was littered with used syringes and soiled feminine hygiene products and, in just eight short hours, Love had "completely ruined her accommodations," causing over $5,000 in damages. That's actually pretty impressive, now that I think about it. I mean, I'm impressed that a junkie can shoot up (which she ostensibly did, given the evidence) and cause that much damage in that increment of time. I could barely get through my email inbox on a Monday morning in that same timeframe back when I was working in an office.
And she appears to have done it on her period, no less, while I can barely even think about leaving my bed when I'm on the rag, let alone demolishing it. I'm mostly just into staying glued to the couch watching Steel Magnolias and eating Ben and Jerry's Peach Cobbler ice cream. I guess I don't have Courtney's energy and motivation.
(btw, this is a recent picture of Courtney Love. No comment from me. Just let the image wash over you.)
I mean, if she was snorting coke I guess I could see her having boundless, hotel-wrecking energy, but doesn't heroin mellow you? I'll admit, all I know about heroin I learned from Trainspotting and Pulp Fiction, but I thought hard opiates made you sort of lethargic and loopy, more inclined to fall back onto the carpet in ecstasy or drive around L.A. in a convertible, looking like you just got laid.
Of course the tragedy here isn't really the hotel room, but rather the fact that Frances Bean has likely spent the majority of her life with an actively using, washed-up hotel trasher as a role model. It's pretty clear Love uses in front of her teenage daughter, which is to say nothing of what she's taught Frances Bean about respect for others and their property.
Can we please start a Free Frances Bean campaign, if it isn't already too late?

That is so sad.... Where are the grandparents during all this?? Didn't they have custody of the daughter when CL was in all that trouble awhile ago?

Maybe Frances trashed the hotel room when Courtney wouldn't get up and make her breakfast, you know cause she was shooting up.

dude--can't you just delete the clearly fake person who posted that nonsense? go away fake commenter!
well, either she has taught the daughter to use or she has taught her to be mommy's keeper (keep her from killing herself, etc.). very sad either way.
who cares if you are sober if you use heroine? that is confusing. if she isn't a drug addict then she should stop acting like one.
