Custody Hearing over Jackson's Children Postponed

The custody hearing over Michael Jackson's children scheduled for Monday has been rescheduled for July 20th.  Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe are talking settlement.  I suspect that settlement involves Katherine playing Debbie a large sum of money.

Or maybe I'm just cynical.

"All prior orders remain in full force and effect, with Katherine Jackson as temporary guardian of the children," according to a Los Angeles Superior Court statement released Friday afternoon.

Rowe, who is the biological mother of Prince and Paris, has not filed a petition for temporary guardianship, says a courthouse spokesperson. Blanket's mother has never been identified.  Last week, Rowe's attorney Eric George, said, "The truth is that Debbie has not reached a final decision concerning the pending custody proceedings."  "[Debbie] says that she will definitely be at the custody hearing," says Marc Schaffel, a former business partner of Jackson's and a close friend of Rowe's.

But she has previously stated she intended to pursue custody.  And the Jacksons plan to fight.  Just what these kids need after losing their father.  A long projected custody fight that will play out in the media.

I read somewhere this morning that Debbie Rowe will not fight for custody if Katherine Jackson keeps the kids away from her husband and that he has no role in their upbringing. Sounds easier said than done. However the couple is said to have been living apart for years. The nightmare continues for those kids.

i thought i saw that debbie was just a surrogate and not the biological mother? so when at first she was all, meh, i am not interested it made sense. now she wants them? even though she isn't the mom? i feel that it was public pressure and outrage that she was "their mom" but didn't want them that made her think she should at least try to get them.

and i stand by the fact that katherine jackson is too damn old at age 80 (or is it 78?) to raise 3 young children. they have other relatives. it is ridiculous.

I hope Joseph Jackson is not allowed any control or contact with the children. I feel as if MJ would be appalled at the way his children are being paraded in front of the public after protecting them for so many years. I believe I read that Joe Jackson was heard to mention a possible career for Paris and Blanket. THat is so offensive.

Perhaps, perhaps. But I was thinking along with a big cheque Debbie Rowe would bust out something along the lines of "you keep your child beating husband away from Michaels kids!" She has claimed on several interviews that her and Michael were very close...if not in the conventional marriage sort of way, so I'm pretty sure she has a high level of distain for that old bastard, and would prefer him not to beat those kids, or pimp them out....yet again, for his own fortune.

I mean for Gods sake, MJ used to say that his father made him so scared he would VOMIT when the man entered the room!!! I can't even imagine that level of fear! He needs to stay the hell away from those children...or for that matter all his grandchildren!
