Debbie Rowe Threatens To Sue Over Leaked Child-Custody Emails

Debbie Rowe is just all about the lawsuits lately.  Now she is threatening to sue a friend who released emails to the television show Extra purportedly showing Rowe with deep misgivings about asserting her custody rights for Michael Jackson's two oldest children.      

Rowe is quoted as telling Rebecca White on July 5: "Do I want the kids? Hell no. Does it look good for me to ask for them? Absolutely. I don't want to look like the woman who gave away her kids and just forgot about them."

Mother of the year she is.

Rowe's attorney said in a statement: "Our firm has sent Ms. White a letter disputing the truth of her statements and demanding that she make retraction in order to avoid legal action."  Truth is a defense to defamation.  Just saying.

Rowe's attorney is also busy disputing her 4 million dollar payout for not pursuing custody of the kids.  Her legal fees must be outrageous. 

Rowe is still saying she plans to attend the July 20th custody hearing.  I still say she wants cash.

This woman makes me so mad. How sad for these kids to lose a Dad who obviously loved them a great deal and to have a mother who is clearly only in it for the money. I hope that they have someone trustworthy to turn to who can give them the love that they need.

I get that the whole point of a surrogate is to give the child up and not form an emotional bond, but dude. That woman is seriously cold.

I thought she was married to Michael when she had the older kids...not a surrogate. Blanket was born via surrogate though.

okay I am going to get the verbal crap beat out of me for this BUT I am going to say it anyway...

If that email is true then okay I see her point. She was a surragate. There are loads of woman out there who donated their eggs for money or have acted as surrogates to provide children for a friend/sister/child etc. It seems that while they married because apparently mj wanted more than anything to be thought of as normal, Debbie was for all intents and purposes a surrogate. She didn't want children she was helping an aquaintance realize his dream of fatherhood

and yes she did get paid for it, but don't some of the other surrogate mothers and egg doners out there? Maybe not in the same income bracket as Debbie but they do...

So she is getting judged as a woman who abandoned her kids and then asks for money but what the email seems to be saying is look I acted as a surrogate but public opinion is that I should still want to raise these kids as my own so to avoid being labeled as the heartless mother who didn't want her kids I am going to have to make an attempt to get custordy of them.

IF a woman was a surrogate and then tried to turn around and assert her right as a parent against the wishes of the 'adoptive' family popular opinion would go nuts calling her all kinds of names, but when a woman who was a surrogate doesn't seem to have or want a bond with her off-spring we also go nuts calling her all kinds of names

we don't really know the details of what went on with the money. So many things have been flung out there and recalled and labeled as a lie

I just don't feel we have the whole story on Debbie Rowe and her deal with MJ and her real feelings about the kids, but just because you carried a child doesn't mean it is yours and I kind of feel bad that she feels she has to pretend to want those children because she fears being labeled a monster...not all women are cut out to be mothers and IF THAT STATEMENT FROM THAT SPECIFIC EMAIL IS TURE WHICH I AM NOT SAYING IT IS NOT SO PLEASE DON'T RIP ME INTO A MILLION LITTLE PIECES then it seems like someone who is not a conventional woman feels she hs to play pretend again to make the rest of the world happy and fit into what is their social norm of the loving tender womanly mother

Like I said for all intents and purposes a surrogate, because I am laboring under the assumption that they did not marry for love but rather because he needed a womb to carry his kids

I just doubt that they came by those kids the old fashioned way more likely that she carried them for him making her the egg donor and the surrogate in her mind (at least that was how I read their relationship)also add to this the speculation that the eggs were not hers (which I have read but again who knows the truth and) that really would make her the definition of a surrogate

which is what fuels my theory that there is SO much we don't know and I get the feeling she was just providing services to him, which again other egg donors and surrogates do also.

The case of Debbie Rowe is also why I think when he decided he wanted a third child he found a surrogate instead of a 'wife' because he realized that no matter how hard he tried if people knew the mother's identity people would think of those kids as 'theirs' (meaning MJ's and the woman) because the mother had a face and a name. None of us can guess the motives of blankie's mom because we have no idea who she is, if she knew who's child she was carrying or if she recieved compensation, which if she did I can only assume it was comprable to what Debbie recieved possibly even more to keep her quiet and keep her out of the spotlight unlike Debbie Rowe

all of this of course doesn't even begin to address the question of the charges brought against Michael

but like I said we don't know the whole truth and we probably never will

in the meantime can you tell by my novella comments that I am totally bored at work today?
