Jim Carrey to be a Grandpa
Before Jim Carrey was seen frolicking on the beach in girlfriend Jenny McCarthy's black bikini and before he married Lauren Holly (which ended less than a year later) AND before he was briefly engaged to Renee Zellweger (which I hardly remember even happened), he was married for 12 years to a woman named Melissa and together they had daughter, Jane. She's now a 21-year-old lead singer of The Jane Carrey Band and a soon-to-be mom, making Jim Carrey a grandpa at 47!
Jane Carrey is pregnant with boyfriend Alex Santana's baby. Santana is the lead singer of the band Blood Money, and after a quick Google, it seems the themes of this particular band are "zombies, death, blood, lust." After stumbling upon his band's MySpace page, I've decided not to ever do that again with my laptop's volume cranked to full. For me and my baby's sake. And possibly my neighbors', as well.
But, from their MySpace blog, Alex and company had this to say, "the singer of BLOOD MONEY is expecting (probably the most metal baby of all time) with the extremely talented, super-duper sweet, and downright GORGEOUS lead singer of THE JANE CARREY BAND... JANE CARREY!!! (who says metalheads cant get chicks?) ... everybody is wicked stoked, and we hope all of our fans will join us in the most metal of blessings!!!" Something tells me the baby announcement won't have ducks of bunnies on it.
Jim Carrey did officially say that his daughter "is going to be a great mom."
So congrats all around. Buy that baby some earplugs, just to be safe, OK.
