Katherine Heigl And TR Knight Hate Grey's Anatomy And Won't Shut Up About It

WHOA. Okay, so Katherine Heigl was on Letterman the other night and basically ragged on Grey's Anatomy the whole time, whining that her first day back was a 17 hour workday and that was meanie meanie mean. She went on to be nasty and coy about her job, which either means she's got balls of steel to mess with her bosses, or that she is just Princess Pissypants and doesn't care about her gig, which of course begs the question: If you hate Grey's so much, why in the name of God's trousers did you come BACK to the show? Your character flatlined in the season finale! You and TR Knight could have easily left and never looked back. WTF?

And SPEAKING of TR Knight, he is in Entertainment Weekly talking about leaving the show and how he haaaaaaaaaaaates show creator Shonda Rhimes and how he has been miserable about the incident with Isiah Washington (rightfully so) and his character's development (pissypants) and whoa boy, he's not mincing words about his feelings.

So what the hell is going on at Grey's Anatomy that is so horrible?

I mean, other than the fact that the show is infuriating, but everyone knows that, right? I HATE Grey's Anatomy, and I hate it like clockwork every Thursday night. I never miss an episode. But how horrid is the work environment that not only a former cast member (guess George is dead, eh?) and a current cast member (I guess Izzy lives, which...shit) tear the show to pieces in the mass media? That must have been an iron-clad contract Heigl signed if she's trash talking the show on Letterman and doesn't expect Shonda Rhimes to give her character another tumor with the quickness.

I understand TR Knight's frustration more, but tag-teaming bashing the show with his BFF Heigl is making them both look like insufferable brats. The Isiah Washington situation (wherein he referred to Knight as a "faggot") was disgusting, I don't think anyone would dispute that, but Knight and Heigl seem to be mostly angry about their character development than anything else.

Well I have a news flash for Dumb and Dumber. A surefire way to get crappy storylines? Ragging on your gig in the media. Sure you've got a contract they have to honor, but they can also put your ass in a coma for fourteen episodes. They can, as shown by TR Knight's exit, have you be hit by a bus and left unrecognizable for your final episode. They can do whatever you deserve. And the way you're acting, Heigl? I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up looking like the Elephant Man by the end of your contract.

Man. What freaking brats.

Lest we forget Heigl's slap in the face to the writers when she said she shouldn't be nominated for an Emmy b/c the writing wasn't good enough. Izzy's character BUGS, they could replace her with someone else and this loyal watcher would never look back.

She was right, though. At least in my opinion, the writing on that show does suck. I know it seems very David Caruso a la "NYPD Blue" of them to bite the hand that feeds, but I find it refreshing that, for once, actors have the balls to say a situation is crap instead of blowing smoke.

I read in the LA Times that the reason Grey's was shooting a 17 hour day was becaise they were working around Heigl's schedule. She's shooting a movie too so they only had her for that day. Brat.

Remember when Joey badmouthed the D.O.O.L. writers and then Drake Ramoray (sp?) ended up falling down an elevator shaft? Yeah. I thought that's what was happening in that season finale on Grey's.

I think the writers may just be toying with her now. I've never watched the show, but I'd have to live under a rock not to hear about it. She does seem a bit whiny, about EVERYTHING.

Katherine Heigl has got her movie career to fall back on (although I won't watch anything she's in because she seems to trash talk everything she's in) but I've never seen T.R Knight in anything before Grey's Anatomy so to me, this seems like a possible career breaker move. Hope you were wise with your money. The whining and complaining about not having good story lines annoys me to no end. Your STILL being paid more money in one episode that most people do in a year!

T.R. Knight, OTOH, well, I'm really disappointed about him. I thought he was hot. Ah well ...
