The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Reunion special (Part 2)

This is a little blogging pet peeve of mine but when someone says "Hey! There's something HUGE going on but I can't tell you until next Thursday at 9:03 AM" I get all eye rolly and I groan audibly. I don't understand the teasing and the mystery though I do understand how it might pique the audience's interest to find out more.On the Internet it means hitting refresh 150 times per minute. On reality television it means googling and finding blogs and US Weekly to be sources of intel on par with the CIA. I want to know, dammit! And I'm not afraid to search high and low to get the goods.

That is what the final episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey did to me and I would suspect members of its audience. There was something in the so called "reality" of the show that couldn't come out. Some deep dark secret between the ladies and it was Dina's will to keep whatever the secret was hidden. And the other ladies being the oh so polite women that they are (GUFFAW) decided to stand by her wishes but it has to be ugly for Jacqueline to say, "I just want her [Danielle] to go away and stay out of my life. I have much more important things in my life to focus on. I hope Danielle gets the help that she needs." And that's from Jaqueline! Saccharine sweet, want to pinch her cheeks and hand her your hanky when she cries, Jacqueline. For her to decide that the friendship is over, it had to be something awful that Danielle did behind the scenes.

It was during the second half of the reunion special when Danielle was confronted with details from The Book. What is true? What isn't true? Is she really a prostitution whore? You get the idea. It was also then that Danielle brokedown and confessed to the broken person she's become due to horrific things in her past; abuse at the hands of her father and ex-lovers. She's forced to cough up things that no one should ever have to discuss in public let alone in front of 5.5 million people who are anxiously awaiting her demise. Of course it was her choice to go on television so the show must go on. Though as Danielle cried and told of rape and Dina's face even showed a "what the fuck? RAPE?" look, I was torn between feeling truly bad for her or wondering if she deserved an Academy Award for her excellent dramatic portrayal. It's hard to know what is right and wrong especially from someone who has been so full of thoughtless drama for the past month and a half.

After the tears the other ladies responded not at all how I would expect - all except for Teresa who I swear on my life has rocks in her head - but the way Dina decided to forgive and want to move past everything that had happened during the show and during the reunion? It seemed almost surreal. Suddenly she was all "Let's move on. I believe her. How about a rousing rendition of Kumbaya?" Caroline begged to differ with her sister as the tears spilled and she pointed a shaky finger at Danielle, announcing that she (Danielle) would never be a friend of hers (Caroline) because of some awful big fat mystery something or other that Danielle committed behind the scenes.

Andy looked as if he were watching a tennis match the way he went back and forth between the ladies. Caroline's tears and Danielle's steely gaze and claims that she had no clue what they were talking about. And yet there was something there. Something that I need to know about. But it is in my conclusion that Danielle  - and pardon my french - is one fucked up, crazy ass, bitch. The other women are just pawns in a game of Chess to her. She moves them around at her will trying to get them to come on her side and go against the others and then claiming that she is the real victim. It's a little creepy if I do say so myself. But I cannot WAIT for the next season.

Apparently, there were rumors that Danielle slept with Dina's husband (not that I scoured ONTD for anything, please anything, about the rumors, nope not me). But from what they said on the show it sounded more like she put a hit out on Dina.

Also, what was this season, like 4 episodes? Too short.

I was surprised to learn that Teresa is so much taller than Danielle. I guess the way the season was filmed, I thought of Teresa as some waifish figure, but next to Danielle, she looked giant. A giant with rocks in her head!

But if Danielle hadn't have been there as antagonist, it would have all been just family (or 'Family'), and that would have been boring. So if she won't be around next season, it will have to be some other outsider they can all mob up on. Whoops, did I just say 'mob?' Is there going to be a next season? I'm not sure I'd watch.

Oh, who the hell am I kidding? Of course I would.

They definitely made it sound like Danielle tried to put a hit on Dina. But I suspect that's just to suck us back in (like I needed any help).

I definitely heard "hit" too. But can we talk about Jaqueline's new lips and how much they grew in pregnancy, or did she have them done again? Or was it the lipgloss?

I read that Danielle contacted Dina's ex and tried to get him to take away Dina's kid because she she said she was a horrible mother or whatever. She thought they weren't close but he just called Dina and ratted Danielle out. That's why they are upset.

Caroline overreacts to anything involved with Dina. It also explains why Dina is miss frozen face and her own brother is still not OK with her.

Ditto, I heard this to be the true rumor too. During the season when Dina's daughter went to Greece with her dad, this is why Dina was so upset about the trip and letting her daughter go - fearing she wouldn't get her back. Dina made some comment on tape that she'd rather see her daughter go to prison than on this trip. Now it makes more sense.
