Swedish Commercial Terrifies People

Swedish This is some messed-up Lord of the Rings crap right here.

Swedish television viewers were terrified when a woman who could have been the stand-in for the Satan dude in "Passion of the Christ" appeared on television singing some creeptacular Swedish folk song and pulling her blowing hair from her face.

The Ikea-loving Swedes were so freaked out that over 100,000 of them joined a Facebook group called “Jag är rädd för tjejen i Apolivareklamen," or “I am scared of the girl in the Apoliva commercial." The groups describes itself as:

“Those of us who have a TV and like to watch commercials/can't be bothered to reach for the remote are facing a problem. Apoliva has begun to run a commercial that is frightening. A woman singing a Nordic/Swedish folk song in freezing rain with lightning. I am creating this group for those of us who need somewhere to seek support and talk things out. It's only a matter of time before it creeps into our dreams and terrorises us in our sleep.”

For the record: I think the Swedish supermodel, Adina Fohlin, featured was tragically sabotaged by bad lighting.

Scary, yes or no?

Uh... it's two steps above The Ring, creepy but not run screaming from the room, scared for life. Is it for a moisturiser? Because I'm not sure I want to feel the way she feels.

Darcey

Yeah, definitely creepy. But more in a DVR-it-so-I-can-mock-it kind of way.

schmutzie

SCARY. There was a moment there when I wasn't sure if her eyes were becoming spinning vortices of evil.
