This One Goes Out To... (Psst, Wanna Win A SlotRadio?)

Sandisk Oh, hey, you know you want this. Like seriously, you totally want this. Behold, the Sandisk slotRadio digital music player. It's small, it sounds great, and it comes pre-loaded with 1,000 songs, so you don't have to worry about loading just the right music on to it. All the right music is already there! GENIUS.

So you want one? For yourself, or, you know, for that someone who means so much in your life that you are willing to give up something so awesome? BECAUSE WE HAS ONE FOR YOU. All you have to do is tell us, in the comments, what song you would you choose to dedicate to the one you love (be it your significant other or dog or aloe plant -- because aloe plants need love too!) and why.

Leave your answer in the comments anytime before noon this Friday (EST) - that would be August 14th - and we'll pick a winner.

(And I promise not to tell if you decide to keep it for yourself. I know it would have to be a pretty special aloe plant if I was going to give that puppy up.)

The winner has been selected and congratulations: Bitchilla from Me Me Me

There's this song by Reba McEntire called "My Sister", and I have a twin sister, so I would dedicate it to her.

I'm Yours by Jason Mraz. I just love that song, it makes me happy and weepy and it reminds me of my husband.

Schmoopy!

alexa

I love one of Dave Matthew's new songs... "You and Me" It is uplifting and sweet and when I sing it I think of my husband, my baby and my sister...really anyone I care about.

Angela

Annie's Song by John Denver to my husband. It was the first song he sang to me when we dated and it played at our wedding. It's romantic and sappy. Just like us. (Yeah, we actually do make people gag.)

BlackEyedGurl

I Will Possess Your Heart, mostly cos right now I am seriously crushing on someone, and I hope to possess their heart at some point in the near future ;)

ky2here

Basia's Clear HOrizon for my husband.

Natalie

I have two (can I still play?) For my daughter I'm Yours because itcame on in the hospital the first time I was trying to breast feed her and from that moment I was hers and i always will be.

But for her daddy, my main squeeze, it would be the theme song to Enterprise...not just because we are bad nerds and not because we watched it hoping to get a little bit of Quantum Leap in there but because for us and for him especially we had to fight for everything we had, both by ourselves and together so the lyrics though sappy meant something to us at a very difficult time in our lives

Who Do You Love, the Doors version for my husband

linda

"Fazer Eyes" by Frank Black. Everyone interprets it differently—it's about aliens, love, UFOs, et cetera—but the Husband-man used to work at a place that the conspiracy theorists claim aliens are hidden, and I love him to death, so it works. Also, who can say no to a sweet, sweet guitar solo at the end? :)

Susan

I would pick Say a Little Prayer for You. My husband and I saw My Best Friend's Wedding while we were engaged (and that was THE LAST chick flick he ever saw with me). He was totally taken with the lobster scene and since then it's been "our song". How mushy. One year I even called the oldies station on our anniversary and had it dedicated to him! We heard it in the car on the way to dinner.

Okay - um - yeah - I'm gagging.

inkypop

I wanna send out "It's Oh, So Quiet," by Bjork to my husband, because that was our first dance at our wedding, almost 7 years ago. We were all waltzy, waltzy, waltzy, the POW! We went swing and craziness all over our guests collective ass! All those wedding videos with like, Baby Got Back? We had 'em beat by a couple years at least!

Kathy Scott

Margaritaville - I met my husband on a cruise and this was the song that was playing.

Rebecca

To my 2 boys... My Wish, by Rascal Flats. I don't even ordinarily listen to country music, but this song makes me all mommy-weepy every time!

sherry

I would dedicate the song "Amazed" by Lonestar to my husband. It's always been our song.

Chicky Chicky Baby

Sympathy for the Devil? No wait, that's the one he would send out to me.

Michelle B.

Something by Crowded House - the hubby's favorite band.

Jen.

"My Best Friend" by Jellyfish to that DH o' mine...

Amy M.

"Bridge Over Troubled Water" for my 2 little ones. It got them to stop crying as infants & my 3-y-o still loves it.

SciFi Dad

"Fly Me To The Moon" by Sinatra (a.k.a. The Chairman of the Board) for my wife because it was our first dance at our wedding (and yeah, we foxtrotted to it, and yeah, we did ballroom dancing lessons for a year before that).

Aww... that's so sweet. Now I have to go punch myself.

Tracey Byram

I would dedicate the song "She Really Hates Me" to an exboyfriend. The song is self-explanatory.

Carolyn Online

Um... Six different Ways by the Cure. Because it makes me happy that's why.

No Mother Earth

I Will by The Beatles for the husband. Highly underrated Beatles song that made me fall in love with him. Can't hear it without thinking of him.

Kathleen

Amazed by Lonestar, thanks.

Kelly

"Somebody" by Depeche Mode, for my Husband. I liked that song as an angst-y teen and it helped get me through loneliness in my 20s and it reflects some of the best parts of marriage now that I am in my 30s.

Jen

Sex On Fire - Sugarland. Because I just like it. :)
