It's Baby #2 for Colin Farrell

The Colin Farrell pregnancy rumours have been swirling for a while now -- years in fact, but the latest one has turned out to be true. Just this past weekend Colin confirmed that there is a baby on the way while strutting his mighty fine looking Irish self on the red carpets at the TIFF .

The mother-to-be is his girlfriend and co-star Alicja Bachieda, a Polish actor who stars opposite Colin in Ondine. In this movie set for release later this year, Colin plays a fisherman who catches what he believes is a mermaid in his net. Alicja and Colin started dating during filming and it looks like he caught more than just a girlfriend on that movie set.

Farrell has one of those crazy bad boy histories that include a sex tape that I'd actually might watch, lawsuits for harassment that turned into him taking out a restraining order on the complainant, not to mention some bouts of very public drunkenness that culminated in a stint in rehab. But that all seems to be behind him.

Colin first became a dad in 2003 with American model Kim Bordenave. His son James Padraig (love that name) was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome and ever since that announcement, Colin appears to have grown up and become a more responsible person. In fact I can't remember the last time he was in the news for any bad stuff.

I'm happy for Colin and how he no longer appears to be an irresponsible party person. But I secretly wonder if Colin is trying to ensure that he has a legacy in every country he visits?
