Kristen Wiig is in the News
Seth Meyers is only one man. And his hairpiece is pathetic.
Enter the Wiig.
Good evening, and what can I tell ya?
Kristen Wiig will be filling the empty co-anchor chair on SNL's Weekend Update. The seat was last sat on by one Amy Poehler who is no longer on SNL. However, Amy will sit in it again for at least two episodes of NBC's newest Thursday night hit comedy Weekend Update. No relation.
They only have two chairs and Seth's has lumbar support. Recession.
Kristen, you ignorant slut.
Seth, you pompous ass.
Also, Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.
This means that Wiig, who is the lone female regular cast member for the upcoming season, will be in roughly 99% of the show. Numbers are an estimate and sometimes imaginary.
Tune in next week with special musical guest, Kristen Wiig.
100%.
I must admit that I have a soft spot for Wiig. Not only is she incredibly funny, but we both attended the University of Arizona, which means they only turn out talent. Also, Nicole Richie.
However, I'm a bit concerned that Wiig taking the desk may result in her being utilized less elsewhere. I'm basing this on a little something called "the facts" where history shows Weekend Update anchors appear in less sketches than other cast members.
Surely, Kristen Wiig is able to do it all, but then there are other concerns. Can one have too much of a good thing? Can we have too much Wiig?
And what's up with just one female regular cast member?
That said, with "that" being all of the above rambling you just skimmed through, we expect good things from the team of Wiig and Meyers. Good, funny things. And fake new from comfortable chairs.
Bear Down, Kristen Wiig.
That's the news, goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow.

The joy with which I received this news speaks to the questionable quality of my day, or maybe just the awesomeness of Kristen Wiig. They had better be churning out the Target sketches at their usual clip or I'll...um, yeah, do nothing but be annoyed and perhaps bitch about it on the Internet. Carry on, Lorne Michaels.
And what IS up with the skewed gender ratio? Weird, and also not nice.

You can't really blame the Target lady, they have some great stuff there.

I'm just not that into Kristen Wiig. I think she plays most of her characters the same and she's not that funny. I just read on E! that Lorne let go Casey Wilson, who I thought played some great parts last season.

Until Kristen Wiig explains the presence of two i's in her last name, I am not prepared to watch her or listen to her. Traditionally I avert my eyes when she appears and start speaking in tongues to drown out her voice, but every so often I catch a glimpse of 'Ms. Double-i' before I can throw up the proper countermeasures. This can't go on forever. I am losing sleep and unable to watch trailers for Mike Judge's new film.

Ohhh, I totally love her. Several of her characters just crack me the hell up.

This is the moment when MamaPop needs to step up and provide some support. I vote that we sent Sweetney over. She would be awsome.

There is a lot of her in each of her characters - kind of like Will Ferrell. They're similar but still funny (IMHO).

Um, I loved her first. Okay? I was loving her before you even read this. Okay.

It was buy one get one free. Letters are cheap these days.

By support you mean moral, right?
