Friday Eye Candy: Not-So Mousy Girls Next Door Edition
I love the television show Glee. I make no secret of this. I make no secret of the fact that I think that it is chock-full of candylicious awesome. I make no secret of the fact that I would quite happily lick Mr. Schuster, Finn or Puck.
(Ah, Puck. Last night, as you sang Sweet Caroline, I wanted to reach through my TV screen and grab you by the collar and EAT YOU WHOLE.)
(Why, yes! I *am* a Glee-stalking mom-cougar! Why do you ask?)
But this post is not about the man-candy of Glee. It's not even about glaringly obvious examples of any kind of candy. It's about the candy that we so often overlook while we're slobbering over the big hunks of fudge on the front counter. I'm talking about the quiet, unassuming sweets that lurk quietly on the corners of the uppermost shelves, the ones that your granny loves - the shortbread biscuits and licorice allsorts and Mackintosh toffee and all those sweets that you don't notice immediately but when you do you are ADDICTED.I'm talking about Emma.
Ah, Emma. The sweet, quirky, quiet little lovelorn student counselor lurking near the sidelines, hoping that Will Schuster pines for her the way that she pines for him. Emma never dominates a scene... at least, she didn't, until last night, when she sang, and it was awesome, and I was all, holy freaking cats is Emma ever AWESOME.
Which is also how I felt about Fred, on Angel. Meek little Fred, who barely registered until she started showing the occasional sign of bad-assery, albeit bad-assery of the sweet-smilingest kind...
Which Amy Acker is still doing, on Dollhouse...
Willow was the original, though. Willow FTW!
Your suggestions welcome - fire away!

Oh, I do love Emma and her wardrobe, but those closeups of her and Will scared me just a teensy bit.

Whiskey! Oh, and because I'm horribly behind things, I thought of another hot scholar for you: Amita from Numbers! SO fits the mould, and actually kind of fits this one, too.

When I read the title, I though, Oh, like Fred. Cause I'm sooo good.

Oh! And actually, Ivy, from the Dollhouse fits the bill on both counts, too. And I'd actually like to vote in Abby from NCIS to the previous "scholar" category.

Accidental Housewife: I was just watching Amita on FlashForward last night and kept saying, "Where do I know her from?" Thanks!
Now she can qualify for the "FEC: Hot Lesbians Edition," too! (My husband might start reading MamaPop for that post.)
