Heidi Klum Pops Out Another One
Confirmed, finally (I know that you were all holding your breath): Heidi Klum popped out that baby she's been gestating. Lou Samuel was born October 9. Daddy Seal says that it was "love at first sight." Which is good, really, because don't you just hate it when Dad really dislikes the baby at first sight? That sucks.
So let's deal with that name...
Lou Samuel is a baby girl, because, duh: why would you name a boy Lou? Or Samuel? Am I right? I mean, if you were to give a boy name to a boy, that would just be, well, ordinary, right? 'Samuel' on a boy is just, meh. But Samuel on a girl? Edgy!
'Lou', actually, I don't mind for a girl. It calls to mind Lou Grant of the Mary Tyler Moore Show, but also has a bit of a Little Women quality. Which is a confusing pair of cultural references, I know, but that's what makes it edgy.

I think Samuel is Seal's actual last name

Samuel is their last name, so I don't think they were trying to be edgy with it! Her full name is Lou Sulola Samuel.

A girl named Lou is the modern day equivalent of a "Boy Named Sue." Right? Tooootally edgy.

You've got your L "ou" then another "ou" and "l" in Sulola and then a "ul" Samuel. What a friggin' mess.
Kinda like Petticoat Junction where all the girls were Betty Jo, Bobbie Jo and Billie Jo, so they were "Jo" and they lived in Hooterville, cause they all had hooters, and Aunt Kate was Bea Benederat and there ya got your BEA BEA thing going, and occasionally Betty Jo would have her hand on the Cannonball's throttle if you get my drift--God knows where Floyd Smoot "FLOY" "SMOO" was (played by ROOF (Rufe) Davis.) Floysmooroo.
And Betty Jo's throttle handling got her a baby named Kathy JO...natch, while Hooterville land was bought up by Howard Hewes, not Hughes that Mr. Drysdale on Beverly Hillbillies thought was the secret buyer. What's in a name? I am sojoloulu glad you asked.
Why didn't they just name the kid Nyoto Uhura? Too bad Hikara Sulu was gay. Just think what they could have named "that" kid.

Guys, you're forgetting both parents are Europeans: Lou is a perfectly valid girl name here. Very popular in France for example.
