America's Late Night TV has certainly wrought upon us trends that I never ever thought would become popular.  Take the Snuggie for instance.  This backwards robe has sold over 56 kajibbillion since it first graced ad slots between old reruns of Three's Company and late night soft porn.  Ahem.

When I saw these, erm, Handerpants, I laughed right out loud.  I can't imagine who in their right mind would wear these, anywhere, for any reason.

Except maybe Gary Busey.  He's always running his fingers through that mess of hair and he is, well, a shithead of the highest order.  See what I did there?  Shithead? Underwear gloves?  Heh.

The Worst Witch: My Halloween Ritual

Before Harry Potter took over the world, there was a small, made-for-TV movie based on a series of children's books called The Worst Witch. It featured some well-known British actors (Diana Rigg and the fabulous Tim Curry) and a young, up-and-coming actress named Fairuza Balk. HBO started playing it throughout October in the mid-to-late 80s and it was an instant favorite of mine.

Every morning, while the maids are cleaning my house and my chef is preparing my favorite breakfast of tartines and café au lait, I like to peruse the online tabloids to see what all the other rich, famous people are up to. Usually I'll find an amusing story about Jon Gosselin to share at bridge, or a tragic bit about Lindsay Lohan that always reminds me to make sure the nanny is raising my kids right.

But today the story on the front page of every tabloid was about how much Kate Hudson loves sex. I don't really care about Kate Hudson's sex life, unless of course she's sleeping with my pool boy.
