Who is the highest earning dead celebrity?

I would have guessed Michael Jackson, but I would have been wrong.

The deceased celebrity with most lucrative estate is this gentleman.

That's right. Yves Saint Laurent wins! His estate made $350 million between October 1, 2008, and October 1, 2009.

Damn.

You can't take it with you, but you sure can be a bad ass even after you are no more.

Think of all the farms YSL could buy now.

What other expired celebs are still raking in more than $6 million bucks each year? The other spirits topping the list were Rodgers and Hammerstein, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley.  Also making the list J.R.R Tolkien, Charles Schultz, John Lennon, Dr. Seuss, Albert Einstein, Michael Crichton, Aaron Spelling, Jimi Hendrix and Andy Warhol.

Clearly all of the people on this list were creative and they are all (ahem) men, but I have another theory on a quality that helps you earn money after death. 

Unruly hair.

Albert Einstein $10 million

Andy Warhol $6 million

Jimi Hendrix $8 million

You guys think about my theory. I am going to go wash my hair with a bar of Ivory soap and then I am giving my children a pair of scissors and we are going to play "beauty salon".

Just in case.

It is cheaper than life insurance.
