I Wonder If Jessica Simpson Thinks She's Actually Had GOOD Scripts?
Ashlee Simpson was recently axed from Melrose Place and although it doesn't seem like any "Save Ashlee!" petitions are circling the Internet, it apparently stunned Jessica Simpson even more than her little sister.
Jessica took to Twitter -- where all the cool kids vent succinctly -- with this little gem of a message:
CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with, but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press
She then followed up with: ashlee was too good for that show and was the ONLY reason I watched, and won't anymore! (@jessicasimpson)
Well. Huh. Ashlee Simpson was too good for a soapy CW remake? I don't know if anyone BUT Jessica Simpson finds that to be true, even if the show is totally craptastic. I don't know if ASHLEE finds that to be true since she issued the following statement:
"Having the chance to play Violet on Melrose Place has been a thrill. . . . Thanks to the CW and the entire cast and crew of Melrose Place for allowing me this opportunity."
Going back, I love that Jessica Simpson mentioned her own bad scripts in her first tweet when a quick IMDB glance proves my initial thought, she hasn't actually had one good script. (OK, That '70s Show wasn't too bad although I completely forgot she was on it, which LASTING IMPRESSION, NOT SO MUCH.) And, yeah, Jess, I don't know if it was merely the script that made Employee of the Month slash Blonde Ambition slash Major Movie Star bomb. Might have also been, uh, you. Just a guess!
It's nice that Jess is standing up for her sister even if Ashlee had to seemingly issue that above statement to de-ruffle feathers, but this last tweet is just one in a string that prove Jessica should think before she tweets. Or talks. Or dates. Or does anything at all.

i dislike them both but i think her standing up for her sister, even if it didn't amount to anything was nice of her to do.

I remember watching Ashlee on 7th Heaven. It was painful to watch her really bad acting and I use the term acting loosely. I tried to give her a break since she was just a teenager then, but it doesn't appear that her acting has gotten any better. Why don't some of these celebrities who want to act take acting classes? You can become a better actor, unlike your vocal abilities where improvement is limited to your god given talent in the first place.

Gah, some celebs need to back away from teh keyboard already. Jessica you're much better with purses, shoes, and fake hair. Stick to that...and you'll be good.
