Nicole Richie Gets Restraining Orders Against Two Paparazzi
Two paparazzi have been temporarily ordered to stay 100 yards away from Nicole Richie and her children. As a mom, I cannot imagine having to get a restraining order to protect my children, who are babies. One of which is 6 weeks old, and the other is 21 months.
These photographers are the same men Nicole was in a car accident with a few weeks ago. In her filing, Richie states that photographers Eduardo Arrivebene and Ivon Miguel daily "stalk" Richie and her family, and that they "sit outside my house, waiting for me to leave." She alleges that they "scream at me in an attempt to get my reaction, scare me, follow me, chase me in [their] vehicle," causing her "severe emotional distress."
"I am fearful that [their] continued presence may cause yet another accident, this time with my infant children in the vehicle," Richie adds. She says that even after the accident, the pair continued to pursue her.
A hearing is set for Nov. 16 to determine whether to extend the orders. A copy of the order is here, but it is practically unreadable.
I'm thinking that this is the kind of thing the new law in California is trying to prevent.

Ok, Nicole Richie is not the type that I'm usually inclined to sympathize with, but man. That's horrible, I can't imagine feeling terrorized by those people every time she leaves her house with her kids. And the almost-2 year-old is probably getting old enough to start being scared by it too. Yeesh. Good for her for getting the restraining order.
