Rihanna: These Boots Weren't Made For Walking So Much As Precarious Teetering

RihannaAre you getting the sense that I kind of have a weird boot fixation/fetish going on? Yeah, me too. DON'T YOU JUDGE ME.

Alright. So. This?

Rihanna2

1. Just looking at those arches makes me want to scream in pain.

2. Is that heel really necessary?

3. Anyone else feeling a 70s rollerskate vibe? No? Just me? huh.

4. WHAT THE HELL IS SHE WEARING? Is that a dress? A shirt? WHAT? THE CLOTHING, IT CONFUSES ME.

/end old lady griping.

This 1980s style resurgence is clearly going to be difficult for me to bear. Hold me?

OMG, that is nothing compared to some of the stilletto heels and super high platforms they wear. These are actually wearable! LOL

Sweetney

@Mamapajama Our definitions of "wearable" clearly diverge eeeeeever so slightly. For me, wearable=Danskos. And slippers. And slipper socks :)

Darcey

Wow, she's wearing a stacked heel? Those are not nearly as daunting as the stilettos she usually wears.

iambellaluna

Yeah...I'm not excited about the new boot fasion trends. It all went down hill when these came out: http://www.omiru.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/peeptoeboot_fashionweektrend.jpg

What are you a million dollar making homeless person? Wear sandals or a WHOLE pair of boots please. Mmmkaythanx.

(Peep toe heels even...I draw the line at peep toe flats as well, there is something not right about peeping toes out of anything other than HIGH-HEELS)

JellyBean

I actually like the boots, but don't think I could walk in them. I don't know why it is now so acceptable to wear short boots with skits/dresses. I think it looks silly, but maybe I'm just out of touch with fashion.

mommymae

and on top of the teetering business, i think they look cheap

rebecca

so useful for sexy mountain climbing.

DianaCLT

I don't get it.

Yeah - I get the clear '80s vibe from the dress...but why wear a long-sleeved HOODED dress that's so short? Do only her head and arms get cold, while her legs and girly bits need the fresh winter air?

The boots, I would totally wear. With slacks and jeans. I don't get those kinds of boots with dresses.

HOWEVER, if she REALLY wants to work the '80s vibe...keep the boots on with the dress..but add some scrunch socks. ;~)

Also - blog post title, FTW!
